Dr. Feldman is a licensed Medical Doctor. She completed her residency training at the oldest and most renowned family medicine program in IL, MacNeal Hospital Family Medicine Residency in Berwyn, IL. During her three years of excellent training in all aspects of family medicine, she was able to pursue her passion for integrative medicine. What is integrative medicine? "Healing oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and makes use of all appropriate therapies, both conventional and alternative".

The principles of integrative medicine:

  1. A partnership between patient and practitioner in the healing process.
  2. Appropriate use of conventional and alternative methods to facilitate the body's innate healing response.
  3. Consideration of all factors that influence health, wellness and disease, including mind, spirit and community as well as body.
  4. Recognition that good medicine should be based in good science, be inquiry driven, and be open to new paradigms.
  5. Use of natural, effective, less-invasive interventions whenever possible.
  6. Use of the broader concepts of promotion of health and the prevention of illness as well as the treatment of disease.
  7. Training of practitioners to be models of health and healing, committed to the process of self-exploration and self-development.

As a resident, Dr. Feldman spent time working with Dr. Andrew Weil's program in Integrative Medicine in Tucson, AZ and with the Brannick Clinic of Natural Medicine in Riverside, IL. As a working member of the Brannick clinic team now, Dr. Feldman will help expand the clinic's scope by offering:

  • alternative vaccinations,
  • school/work physicals,
  • traditional medication management including birth control,
  • as well as see patients for traditional family medicine issues with a focus on more natural therapies and treatments when possible.
