About Margaret T. Sekowski, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor
Personal
Margaret Sekowski, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor. She began training for this vocation 20 years ago after a successful career in sales and marketing. She has learned the emotional and physical benefits to be gained from leading a more centered, natural lifestyle and is delighted to be an associate of the Brannick Clinic.
Marge takes a holistic approach to psychological challenges, and that many factors, such as relationship problems, attitudes, entrenched beliefs about oneself, past trauma, as well as nutritional issues contributes to depression and stress. She takes a thorough history at the initial appointment and begins work on solutions from the very beginning.
Marge has extensive experience working in many different treatment settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital clinics, employee assistance programs, and crisis intervention. She works with individuals, couples and families, adolescents, and children and enjoys moderating therapy groups. She has been certified as an addictions counselor since 1988 by the ILLINOIS ADDICTIONS CERTIFICATION BOARD and since 1996 has been licensed to practice psychotherapy by the ILLINOIS BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION.
